- As the lockdown shuts all the places where the crowd gather excepts the emergency services jobs and places are been made open.
- Lockdown has shut all the airport services, schools colleges, private sectors, public places have been closed.
- Compare to the other countries, like China, Spain, Italy, or Germany, India has fewer victims affected or died by the virus.

Globally, as of May 2, there have been 32,72,202 confirmed cases, including 2,30,104 deaths, reported to WHO. ALL WORLD
The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in India crossed 40,000 on Sunday ( 3rd May), making it one among 16 countries that have crossed that figure. With 83 more deaths since Saturday, a single-day high, the death toll nationwide has gone up to 1,306.
India currently has 28,070 active cases and 10,886 patients have recovered, according to the latest numbers available on the Health Ministry website. Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Delhi led with the maximum number of cases.
Data from State Health Departments put the nationwide death toll at 1,389. The number of positive cases overall stood at 42,496, with 29, 318 active ones. Mumbai reported 441 new cases and 21 deaths, taking the total number of cases to 8,613 and fatalities to 343, a BMC official said.

UPDATE ON 24th May-
- The total number of infections in India rose to 1,38,845 on Monday. Of these 77,103 are active, while 57,720 patients have been discharged. The death toll stands at 4021.
- Data from Johns Hopkins University show that the total number of cases in India has surpassed that of Iran (with 1,35,701 confirmed infections).
- India now has the 10th highest number of confirmed cases worldwide.
- Globally, over 5.4 million people have been infected with the novel coronavirus, including 3.4 lakh deaths.
The new lockdown has extended from 1st June to the 30th of June.
